How to dress in Winter

With the cold season just upon us now, in the mornings, I often have no clue what to put on and still look ..........kind of ......reasonably interesting. Then as the temperatures heat up during the day, with the glorious winter sun, the layers start being peeled off. (I'm usually back down to thongs and a kaftan by mid afternoon)

Here are some tips that work for us and our close friends, to help you make the most of your wardrobe through these cold months without having to reinvent yourself.

Under dresses and tunics, a good pair of leggings or bright tights, coloured jeans or jeggings work well.

Another great combination is a printed tunic with coloured cords.

An open weave knit can then be worn over the top like a poncho or a long cardigan, or velvet jacket to avoid getting swallowed up by your clothing.

With tops, anything goes with jeans so get creative then add a bright scarf, to add colour to the winter basics. We love printed bright scarves with winter clothes.

And of course something from the costume jewellery department to finish it off.

I love bringing out my boots from year to year, giving them a wipe down and start walking the street. Boots are always a good staple to lift an outfit and don't feel you need to make everything match, high knee socks in grape, denim, deep blues look great with winter khaki, navy and walnut colours. Get creative because .........

Have fun. Bring Back Life
